About Mark Kennedy

Mark’s speaking and media qualifications are vast and he is a frequently requested and sought after authority for the media concerning finances: As an author, he has written articles for several publications. He has also written for the Glendale, California based 'Senior Living' magazine and for the 'Los Angeles Daily News’. Additionally, he has had interviews featured by CNBC.com, CBS Radio, SmartMoney Magazine online and WalletPop.com. Mark has also hosted his own one hour live format radio show in the largest radio market in the United States. The 45 successful broadcasts of his "Retire In Style" radio show on KRLA AM 870, focused on how to have a financially successful and secure retirement in today's uncertain economic environment. Mark was also recently exclusively interviewed on KABC Los Angeles regarding the power of annuities in retirement, and on the Fox Business Channel about creating your own ‘private pension plan’ in retirement.

Mark is also a leading IRA authority. The nation's leading IRA expert, Ed Slott, CPA, in his best selling book, "Parlay Your IRA Into a Family Fortune," (first edition hardcover) lists Mark as the only recommended IRA expert advisor in all of the San Fernando Valley.

Mark has also had plenty of experience as a public speaker. In just the last 7 years alone, Mark has delivered over 300 workshops and seminars on financial strategies for business owners and retirees in addition to delivering platform speeches to members of his industry.

In the financial services industry since 1994, Mark’s expertise includes Securities transactions (stocks, bonds, mutual funds), Variable Annuities, Fixed Annuities, Fixed Index Annuities, Immediate Annuities, Life Insurance, Long Term Care Insurance, Income Planning for retirees, 401k/457/TSA/IRA/ROTH IRA plans, 412i and Defined Benefit Pension Plans. Mark also has expertise in Charitable Trusts, creating a private Foundation, Estate Planning for high net worth individuals, Senior Settlement life insurance transactions, and Premium Financed Life Insurance.

Mark is currently licensed as a Series 65 Registered Investment Advisor and owns and operates his firm Kennedy Wealth Management LLC. Mark has previously held the series 7 stockbroker/general securities license and the series 6 mutual fund and variable annuities license. Mark also currently holds a California life and health insurance license.

Mark is a multiyear qualifier for the prestigious MDRT (Million Dollar Round Table) Top of the Table organization, which comprises the top 1% of insurance based financial advisors worldwide. Membership is by strict invitation only. Mark is also a member of NAIFA (National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors), and CAIFA (California Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors).

Each year Mark spends several weeks traveling the United States attending industry educational workshops and conferences to remain current on the latest and most effective wealth maximization and preservation/transfer techniques and strategies.

Personally, Mark attended college at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado and at the University of California, Riverside where his major was business/economics. He was a proud member of the United States Air Force for 5 years before entering the financial services industry 17 years ago. Mark is a Southern California resident and resides in the San Fernando Valley, a suburb of Los Angeles.

In his spare time, Mark enjoys downhill snow skiing, investing, marathon running, and charitable giving. He is most proud of being able to make several major gifts to The Wheelchair Foundation to buy several hundred wheelchairs for people who could not otherwise afford them, in addition to making major gifts to help the Hurricane Katrina victims and to other charitable organizations.
